మహారాష్ట్రలో ఆదివాసి జిల్లాల్లో ఒకటైన గడ్చిరోలిలో సోషల్ క్లబ్ లను నిర్వహించేందుకు అనుమతి ఇవ్వవచ్చా..? గిరిజనుల సంస్కృతిని కాపాడే విషయంలో చట్టాలు కఠినంగా అమలు చేయాల్సి ఉందన్న విషయాన్ని విస్మరిస్తున్నారా..? అంటే అవుననే సమాధానమే వినిపిస్తోంది. సిరొంచ తాలుకాలో ఇప్పటికే ఓ సోషల్ క్లబ్ ఏర్పాటు కాగా మరో క్లబ్ ప్రారంభించడం దాదాపు ఖాయంగా మారిపోయింది. అయితే తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సరిహద్దుల్లోనే ఉండడంతో సోషల్ క్లబ్ ల పేరిట ఇక్కడ జూదం దర్జాగా ఆడిస్తున్నారన్న ఆరోపణలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. ట్రైబల్ షెడ్యూల్డ్ జిల్లాగా ప్రకటించిన గడ్చిరోలి జిల్లాలో గిరిజనుల సంస్కృతి, సాంప్రాదాయాలకు బిన్నంగా సోషల్ క్లబ్ లు నిర్వహించడం నిభందనలకు విరుద్దమేనని తెలుస్తోంది. ఈ ప్రాంతంలోని సహజ వనరుల పరిరక్షణ, స్థానిక వివాదాల పరిష్కారం మరియు అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలలో గ్రామ సభ అనుమతి కీలకమని తెలుస్తోంది. ఇంతటి కఠిన చట్టాలు అమలు అవుతున్న సిరొంచ పరిసర ప్రాంతాల్లో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన, చేయనున్న సోషల్ క్లబ్ లకు అనుమతులు ఎలా ఇచ్చారన్న విషయంపై రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. గడ్చిరోలి జిల్లాలో భారీ ఎత్తున ఆదివాసీలు ఉన్నందున దీనిని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం Most Sensitive గిరిజానాభివృద్ది ప్రాజెక్టుగా గుర్తించినట్టుగా తెలుస్తోంది. ఇలాంటి జిల్లాల్లో సోషల్ క్లబ్ ల పేరిట అనుమతులు తీసుకుని అనధికారికంగా జూదం నిర్వహించడం నిభందనలకు విరుద్దమేనన్న అభిప్రాయాలు వ్యక్తం అవుతున్నాయి.
సీసీ కెమెరాలు..?
అయితే సిరొంచ తాలుకా పరిసర ప్రాంతంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సోషల్ క్లబ్ లో సీసీ కెమెరాలు ఏర్పాటు చేశారా లేదా అన్న విషయంపై అధికారులు ఆరా తీయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఇక్కడ అంతా నిబంధనల మేరకే కార్యకలాపాలు సాగుతున్నాయని ప్రకటించినప్పటికీ సాధారణ కార్యకలాపాలు కొనసాగించినట్టయితే సీసీ కెమెరాలు ఎందుకు ఏర్పాటు చేయడం లేదని స్థానికులు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు.

సిరొంచ తాలుకా కేంద్రంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఈ క్లబ్ ల వెనక మంచిర్యాల జిల్లా చెన్నూరు నియోజకవర్గానికి చెందిన పలువురు నాయకుల హస్తం ఉన్నట్టుగా ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది. రాష్ట్రంలో ఆన్ లైన్ రమ్మీని కూడా నిషేధించి కేసీఆర్ సంచలన నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. తెలంగాణలో క్లబ్ ల నిర్వహణపై కఠినంగా వ్యవహరించాలని సీఎంగా ఉన్నప్పుడు ఆదేశించారు. అయితే ఇదే బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీకి చెందిన నాయకుడు సిరొంచలో సోషల్ క్లబ్ నిర్వహిస్తుండడంలో కీలక భూమిక పోషిస్తుండడం విస్మయానికి గురి చేస్తోంది. స్వరాష్ట్రంలో అధినేత అభ్యంతరం చెప్పిన జూదాన్ని అదే పార్టీకి చెందిన నాయకుడు పొరుగు రాష్ట్రంలో నిర్వహిస్తుండడం దేనికి సంకేతమన్న చర్చ స్థానికంగా సాగుతోంది.
Is gambling legal there?

The answer being heard is an alarming “yes.” While a social club has already been established in Sironcha taluk, the opening of another has become almost certain.
Situated right on the Telangana state border, allegations are rising that gambling is being conducted brazenly under the guise of social clubs. Running such establishments—which clash with tribal traditions—is no easy task in Gadchiroli, a designated Scheduled Tribal district where Gram Sabha approval remains crucial for natural resource conservation, dispute resolution, and local development. The state government needs to review how permissions were granted in Sironcha, an area where stringent protective laws are in force. Designated as a “most sensitive” tribal development project zone due to its large tribal population, operating unauthorized gambling under the garb of social clubs is a direct violation of regulations.
CCTV cameras…?
Officials need to verify whether CCTV cameras are actually installed at the Sironcha taluk social club. Although operators claim strict regulatory compliance, locals question why cameras are missing if routine, legal activities are the only things taking place.
Chennur connection…
Rumours indicate that several leaders from the Chennur constituency in Telangana’s Mancherial district are backing the clubs at the Sironcha headquarters. It is well known that former Chief Minister KCR took a strong stand against online rummy and ordered strict action against club operations in Telangana. It comes as a surprise that leaders from the same BRS party are allegedly playing a key role in running social clubs across the border in Sironcha.
